We lean heavily on our Industry Partners for resources for real estate management professionals, especially in times like these. We reached out to our partners for information, tips and resources for our members specifically related to the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. Below are just a few of the many insights they have to share. We encourage you to reach out to our Industry Partners directly as well. They continually prove to be an invaluable resource for our members and true partners to our organization.
Accent Coatings has been classified as an “essential business” under Governor Holcomb’s recent order. Therefore, they can assist with painting projects while you have minimal employees in your buildings and minimal cars in your parking lots. They continue to enforce strict adherence by all of their employees to the CDC recommendations in relation to social distancing, hand washing, & sending employees home if temperature is 99 or higher. - Bose McKinney & Evans LLP knows that many tenants, landlords and lenders are reaching out in an effort to be proactive and even collaborative about leasing issues during this time. They have provided a brief summary of Indiana’s laws which may be implicated in leasing during this pandemic. You can read this article here. Carson Design Associates is a Commercial Interior Design firm in Indianapolis. - Hays + Sons is committed to help your management company handle this epidemic. They provide both preventative and confirmed case cleanings and use the CDC's recomended guidelines and an EPA approved disinfecting product. When handling your emergency calls they will be dressed in full PPE wear consisting of an N95 mask or higher, gloves, and a full body suit. This is for the safety and protection for your team members, your residents, and their team members. Midwest Remediation is experienced with disinfection, microbial, and trauma clean-up and has the proper PPE gear, masks and equipment to help with the pandemic. Due to the surge, they have added resources to their team and are helping disinfect buildings and vehicles. They use products included on the EPA site and follow all CDC guidelines to protect tenants and their teams. Their office is separated with professional containment to limit cross contamination among their staff. RWK Services is a commercial janitorial provider, providing essential disinfection nightly and providing a responsive disinfection. They are using EPA Registered Disinfectants throughout the cleaning process, Touchpoint and Community Property Disinfection, Sanitary station and personal hygiene products (based on availability), and responsive disinfection for Known COVID-19 cases. - ServiceMaster By Crossroads Restoration team has been busy working round the clock 24/7 and after today will have disinfected/cleaned over 1.5 million sqft in commercial space across the state of Indiana. They are currently quoting 2 types of cleaning for clients & their spaces, preemptive cleaning & "contaminated" cleaning. Their team is utilizing the Clorox Total 360 electrostatic spraying system to disinfect spaces from confirmed Coronavirus cases as well as for preventative measures. Electrostatic spraying has become the preferred method of application as the coverage (efficacy) is second to none. They are spraying an EPA N List Hospital Grade Disinfectant, which is an effective defense against the Human Coronavirus. Their team is wearing full PPE including a full face respirator, Dupont Chemical Tyvek hooded and booted suit for both confirmed and non-confirmed cases at this point. Megan Nagel is the Real Estate Manager of the upcoming Bottleworks District and has been with Hendricks Commercial Properties for over 3 years now. Like many who end up in the dynamic world of property management, she didn’t originally set out to pursue this career path. Megan studied English and Theatre at Wisconsin Lutheran College. Megan was offered a job when she went to look for a new apartment home in West Bend, Wisconsin. Megan came to Hendricks with over 7 years of management experience, to work on two brand-new luxury living lease-ups. While working there, the property was awarded the coveted AOMA Property Excellence Award for 2017, as well as reached 100% leased 6 months ahead of schedule. That property continues to excel. Megan has worked on regional residential projects all while preparing for the magnificent beast that is the Bottleworks District and cannot wait for future adventures.

Alex has been a valuable member of IREM Indy and is currently a Co-chair for Student Outreach and works with area univiersities to promote IREM and specifically our Take Our Future to Lunch event. In 2018 we had a record number of students participating in the event! Alex was recently awarded the Sally Lentz Crouse scholsarship and will attend the IREM Global Summit in September.

Glick Announces Name of New Keystone Property
Indianapolis, Indiana, July 15, 2016 – Gene B. Glick Company announces the name of its newest apartment homes in the Keystone at the Crossing area of Indianapolis: Quarry at River North. Quarry will be part of the River North development, which is a joint venture between PK Partners and the Gene B. Glick Company, and will include offices, retail space, a parking garage and a hotel.
Located next to the Fashion Mall, Quarry will offer 196 luxury apartment residences. The name Quarry derives from 25-acre lake the project sits on which was once a stone quarry. The brand and design bridges the area’s history with its modern-day urban setting. Residents will appreciate luxurious features while having easy access to the lifeblood of the city including all of the shops, restaurants and other destinations at and around the Fashion Mall.
Quarry will include lavish finishes and amenities, such as concierge services, resort-style pool, screening room, wine cellar and tasting room, and many others services and offerings.
Construction is already underway on the project. Leasing is scheduled to begin in late summer 2016.
